I know most of you are sick of this theme (lack of theme) and mobile theme. Also many of you prefer a different forum software so what we have desided to do is test a diffrent forum software that is a lot more powerful then the current vBulletin that we use now. I am currently testing this on a test site if everything goes to plan we will have to close the site for a few hours while we work on the conversion etc.
There is no ETA atm but I will keep updating this post with screenshots and what is happening.
Just keep coming back to this post and I will let you know when we will have the downtime.
Just to let you know this update will break many things like the repo, the IPARepo... [Read More]
The iPhone DevTeam just released an update for PwnageTool. With this tool you can create a custom 3.1.3 firmware, which you can use to upgrade your iDevices , and still preserve the baseband. If you used Blacksn0w to unlock your iPhone in the past, this tool will not help you, because you already updated your baseband ( even though not to the latest version ) , and all the other unlocking tools will not work. Also, PwnageTool will not downgrade your baseband.
Tobias Kemper of Nimbuzz shows me their latest iPhone app, just released, which lets you make free calls, chat, or message with your friends around the world. Also . they released Nimbuzz for Mac, which you can find at the official website.

In our preview article, we took a first look at Sn0wbreeze v1.3. , and we told you that you should not expect any tool updates from the iPhone DevTeam or GeoHot. Well it seems that the iPhone DevTeam is working on an update for PwnageTool , and they ask iPhone 3G and 3Gs users to not rush into an update.
PwnageTool will allow you to create custom firmwares that you can use to jailbreak your iDevices, and not update the baseband. That way you can still use the... [Read More]

Game Developer Research says that Apple is winning the race among handheld game developers: 19 percent write now for the iPhone and iPod touch. That's more than double the amount of Nintendo DS and Sony PSP developers. Other interesting figures: • Handheld games are now 25 percent of the whole gaming market, up from 12 percent before the iPhone/iPod touch phenomenon.
• During the
Apple and the iPhone evolved a lot in the past couple of years and they learned a couple of things when it comes to software protection against jailbreaking.
iPhone 3GS have to communicate with Apple’s servers before allowing the installation of any version of firmware (restore or update ) .With the release of Firmware 3.1.3, Apple’s server has stopped certifying all previous firmware and this makes it impossible to restore your device to a previous release. The certification is done through 3 files called IBSS, IBEC and ECID that, once signed, are a kind of “green light” to install the firmware through iTunes.
IBSS and IBEC files are generated during a firmware restore in iTunes... [Read More]
Today, Apple comes with a new feature. They expanded iTunes Preview, that has been available for music for a couple of months now, for the appstore. Now, when you click on a link, that would open the app in the app store, iTunes will also, automatically open in a web browser as well
This is sad news for everybody who was depending on an unlock and in a rush to update to the latest firmware 3.1.3 or updated by mistake. As you might know, you can jailbreak firmware 3.1.3 but with some restrictions. It seems that George is not working on a new update , and i think there won’t be anything available since
Since the new iPhone 3.2 SDK is out everybody is hunting for hints on what the next generation iDevices will bring us. So far we got the code name of the next gen iPhone , possible new syncing support with iPhone OS 3.2 ( not in the SDK ) , and now it seems that the next gen iPhone might also get 720p video playback and probably
Just a note that Apple stopped signing 3.1.2 today. That means those of you 3gs or ipod touch 3 users that did not rush out and store your TSS in Cydia or Rock are screwed and cannot restore anything but 3.1.3. If you are a jailbreak user running a 3gs or ipod touch 3 (or later generation ipod touch 2) that has not stored the TSS in cydia, you should be very careful with what you do from now until the next jailbroken firmware. You will want to be careful in what you install to make sure you don’t have to restore for any reason. It would be a good idea to install open SSH and learn how to use it so that you can get in and fix any problems without a... [Read More]
I just read a good post by Wayne Dixon at Macgasm on how Apple could ‘win’ against the jailbreaking community. As someone who has enjoyed running my various iPhones jailbroken for a very healthy percentage of the time I’ve owned them, I don’t want Apple to ‘win’ the cat and mouse tussle with folks like the Dev Team and Geohot and others who lead the way in the jailbreaking arena. I hope there will always be a way where there’s a
USB syncing was a problem for developers from the beginning because the current iPhone SDK does not contain official API for USB syncing apps. But rules are made to be broken, and developers found a way around this issue. They used iPhone’s DCIM folder to drop their files and private APIs to allow desktop apps to access iPhone’s contents.
Because of that, Apple is asking developers to temporary remove the USB syncing capabilities from their... [Read More]
