For those who are getting problems accessing ROOT on your iDevice and DiskAid says your iPhone / iPod / iPad is not jailbroken - fix is underneath:

Problem is caused by missing AFC2 code from jailbreaks which is required for transfer of files through SHH on a jailbroken device.
