XcodeHack


Xcode patcher for developing on jailbroken iOS apps w/o $99 developer's certificate.
Works with any version of Xcode(3.x.x-4.1) & iOS SDK

Download

How-To:
1)Move XcodeHack.app to Applications folder(important!)
2)Run XcodeHack
3)Press "PATCH!"
4)Press "Quit"
5)Create self-signed code-signing certificate:

• Open Applications > Utilities > Keychain Access.
  
  
• From the Keychain Access menu, choose Certificate Assistant > Create a Certificate.
  
  
  
  
• Fill in a name for the certificate. This name appears in the Keychain Access utility as the name of the certificate.
  
  
• Choose Self Signed Root from the Type popup menu.
  
  
• Check the Let me override defaults checkbox. Click Continue.
  
  
  
  
• Specify a serial number for the certificate. Any number will do as long as you have no other certificate with the same name and serial number.
  
  
• Choose Code Signing from the Certificate Type popup menu. Click Continue.
  
  
  
  
• Fill in the information for the certificate. Click Continue.
  
  
• Accept the defaults for the rest of the dialogs.

6)Choose created cert. in Project settings(Build Settings)
7)PROFIT

Tried this on a fresh install of xcode from app store, worked perfectly.

pals...
i have done everything....
(created certificate, chosen the certificate in build menu)

now needed 2 know how can i test my created app in my iphone instead of simulator....

when i went to organizer, and selected use my iphone for development...

it sais that the xcode installed supports.... till ios 4.0.2 adn ur iphone has ios 4.2.1

wot to do???

help needed as i m a newbee.... in developmwent....

update Xcode&iOS sdk to the latest version 4.0.2(iOS SDK 4.3.2 will work with 4.2.1)

ps i'm using Xcode 4.1dp4(iOS SDK 4.3.2)

as i m on 10.5.5 on my dell laptop.....its a real pain in the a** to update....

u can add cert name in Xcode selection manually

pal..
i recently updated my Xcode to 4.2.1 and then used your patch...
then went to keychain and created the certificate,
now i m stuck in how to choose..
"created cert. in Project settings(Build Settings)"

plz help me out...
also needed to know, how to get a provision certificate..can i patch it any how to get a provision certificate....???

k got it..but
now needed 2 know, does my iPhone needs to b jailbroken..? as i m getting an error saying that my certificate has expired...

also neeed 2 know, is there a way by which i can use this provision profile and use iresign to sign cracked apps so that i can install them on my non jailbroken device.
