Hi Guys, I'm new to forums so I apologise if this is in the wrong place for this. I'm currently creating a new theme on a iphone 4 IOS 5.0.1. All icons have worked fine so far apart from the ihandy alarm clock icon. The design itself shows but it is the only icon to keep the original icon shape. I'm not sure if it is a mask or what. I have already removed icon shadows and I'm not sure why this is the only one. The png has no alpha and the background is transparent, but this shows solid black background. The Icon is set in Bundles/com.ihandy.alarmclock.pro/icon_730@2x.png. Any help would be much apreciated.

After continuing with the theme I have noticed that all ihandy apps do the same.

All App Store icons have a mask, overlay, and shadow.

You should have blank images in Bundles/com.apple.mobileicons.framework, named:
AppIconMask@2x.png (118x120)
AppIconOverlay@2x.png (118x120)
AppIconShadow@2x.png (118x120)
SmallAppIconMask@2x.png (58x58)
SmallAppIconOverlay@2x.png (58x58)
SmallAppIconShadow@2x.png (58x58)

The small ones are for settings, and spotlight.

Thanks for getting back to me, I tried that but now most of the icons are invisible apart from the stock icons.

Post a screenshot. If all the icons are completely gone then the problem is probably the mask.

You should download a theme that has icons similar to yours, as an example.

All other app folders are empty too. I tried other themes but couldn't find any that had changed icons for third party apps without putting the icons in Theme/Icons folder with the apps' corresponding name, but you lose the image quality that way. The only thing I have found to work in renaming System/Library/PrivateFrameworks/MobileIcons.Frameworks/AppIconMask@2x~iphone.png. This works but makes all unedited apps square and would have to be changed if I were to stop using the theme.

Check the Info.plist from inside the Alarm Clock app and look for the following value:

<key>UIPrerenderedIcon</key>

If it's false try setting it to true and vice versa. You'll need to reboot to force changes and you may also need to manually clear the icon cache.
