The iPhone Dev team has released a Windows version of their CLI (Command Line app) for windows so those people that cannot wait for the windows GUI release this could be a godsend

Which means that instead of waiting for Absinthe’s windows version, iPhone 4S or iPad 2 users who are waiting since long can use Corona Injector Tool to jailbreak their device. Without delving into the details, follow the quick steps listed below.




Jailbreak iPhone 4S, iPad 2 on Windows using CLI tool
Step 1: Download Corona Injector CLI tool for Windows on your desktop

Step 2: Connect your iPhone 4S or iPad 2 to your Windows PC via USB

Step 3: Open CMD.exe

Step 4: cd to the cinject.exe

Step 5: Execute the following command. Do so with device unlocked and approve the install request.

cinject.exe -i payloads/jailbreak.mobileconfig



Just wait until it finishes the operation. While you’re executing these commands, don’t touch your device. Just let the commands (Absinthe) do their work.

Step 6: Then execute the following command to run the jailbreak payload:

cinject.exe -j payloads

You will see following text messages. Sit tight as the tool is installing the payload.



Step 7: Now use “cinject -w” to start watching the syslog. Execute the following command:

cinject.exe -w

Step 8: Toggle the VPN switch in Settings. Leave the password field blank and continue executing the commands. Afterwards toggle the VPN, ignore the error and wait for a reboot.

Once your device is reboot, you are ready to install Cydia apps on your jailbroken A5 device. Let us know if it works for you.

I tried THIS Turorial and I am too stupid to get it to work, after running
cinject -i payloads/jailbreak.mobileconfig
cursor is blinking but nothing happens more. So I have to wait for Windows-GUI. Dammit.


I am really stupid, I was putting the Phone in DFU-Mode. Tool is running, but I get an error on my phone telling me about a mistake in the vpn-configuration. No automatic reboot. Still trying...

Worked for me, but only after I erased all content and settings, and then set up as a new iPhone. Woohoo!

I am not an expert but I manage to JB my 4s and Iapd 2 using this method.
I had issues initially so what i did was reset both 4s and ipad. Deleted all the settings and content.
and follow the steps.
it worked a charm.

The key is: Restore your iDevice to a clean firmware. I red that tip in DEVteam Blog and -voila- it worked. No more obscure error messages and stuff, finaally my iPhone is jailbroken...YAY!!!
Hope that the restore now will do fine, otherwise it would be a pain in the ass to manually put the stuff and settings back

Worked on iPad 2 and 4S both 64GB here is what I did:

Download cinject 0.4.3 from devteam. Now rename the folder to just cinject and copy and paste it to C: drive. Just go to windows explorer and select C: and paste there with the folder renamed to just cinject.

Now make sure your device is backed up via iTunes or iCloud because you need to erase all data on iPhone or iPad, I know this sucks but it failed on me unless you erase all data. To reset all data need to open setting once you have your iDevice backed up and reset and erase all data. Once iPhone has rebooted you will be at the iOS startup screen again go thur the settings quick and setup as a new iPhone. Now open setting again and set autolock on your device to never, now open settings again and network option now open the VPN menu and let the iDevice sit at that screen and plug into the computer.

open windows CMD command Prompt and you need to charge the directory to where cinject is stored if you copied to C:\ like I said you need to type this into a command prompt:

cd C:\cinject (press enter)

now copy and paste or type these commands into command prompt one at a time once the command prompt seems to be waiting Press enter after each one entered:

cinject.exe -i payloads/jailbreak.mobileconfig (once you do this one you will need to go to your iDevice again and install the profile and install NOW!! once done open the VPN menu again and you will see a new setting saying jailbreak. Leave it sit in place again and enter next command)

cinject.exe -j payloads (wait for it to do its thing once done it will be asking you for next command)

cinject.exe -w (once you enter this command into CMD go back to iphone quick and toggle the VPN setting to ON now wait for you iDevice to reboot)


Now once your iDevice reboots you should now see cydia on your springborad if all went right. I have set cydia up and is currently restoring from backup hopefully all is well once backup is done. Have fun

Worked by going into Settings and erasing all content and data then starting as new iPhone.

All my contacts are still present. That's all that matters to me.
