I have a leaked beta of vlc4iphone v1.0.0.deb, all we ask is DO NOT remove the ads from this app and re-distribute, this is strictly forbidden, also keep in mind this is a early release of the app, the link to download is below! Have fun!

vlc4iphone.app - Download

vlc4iphone.deb - Download

-------Howto Install a .app------

1. SSH Into iPod/iPhone
2. Go to /private/var/stash/Applications.******
3. Drag "vlc4iphone.app" folder into folder above
4. Put Permissions to 0777
5. Reboot iPod/iPhone

-------Howto Install a .deb-------

To expand on your desktop do this:
1. Open Terminal and cd to the directory of the deb file
2. Type: ar vx filename.deb

To install on your iPhone if you choose not to use Cydia do this:
1. SFTP or winSCP your deb file into /tmp
2. SSH into your iPhone navigate to the path of the file, with Terminal type: dpkg -i vlc4iphone.deb

---------------------------------------------------------

If done correctly terminal should give out this:

/private/var$ dpkg -i vlc4iphone.deb
Selecting previously deselected package com.zodttd.vlc4iphone.
(Reading database ... 4036 files and directories currently installed.)
Unpacking com.zodttd.vlc4iphone (from vlc4iphone.deb) ...
Setting up com.zodttd.vlc4iphone (1.0.0) ...

After this is done, respring and enjoy!

---------------------------------------------------------

To insure what I do with the .app Folder...

1. SSH Into iPod/iPhone
2. Go to /private/var/stash/Applications.******
3. Drag "vlc4iphone.app" folder into folder above
4. Put Permissions to 0775
5. Reboot iPod/iPhone

That is what I did, but the app won't show up!

What do I do wrong?

Try the other method, not the .app method, works fine for me.
