OK so far, all seems to be working - maybe a little quicker......

Didn't update itunes to latest release so was able to install the carrier settings, (although there seems to be the option to manually configure the settings urself)

Also have sent and received MMS (some people reporting this is supposed to be disabled in this release?)

Will try tethering later and let you guys know, I also noticed some bluetooth issues with beat4, will see if these have been sorted in this release

if u used older itunes 8.2 then just update the carrier (.ipcc) file and it will bring back the MMS and tetheing function but if u are using the new itunes 8.2 prerelease then uninstall and install older one because with this new itunes 8.2 build you can't update the carrier (.ipcc) file in order to hack these functions

where do i find the carrier .ipcc file? On AT&T USA
I have itunes v8.2.0.10? do I need an earlier version?

with this version of itunes u can update carrier to get MMS and tethering back !! the newest version of itunes 8.2 is v8.2.0.13 so you can update carrier with the itunes version u have !!

Download .ipcc file for AT&T and T-Mobile USA from here

just unzip and select the AT&T and change extension to .ipcc and update !! with itunes holding SHIFT + Update and browse to .ipcc file u just downloaded !!

and then reboot and use MMS and tethering in : Settings >>>> Networks

every network has its own MMS settings the file above is for USA (AT&T and T-Mobile) the MMS settings are in the .ipcc file so no need to put it again for other networks go to my site i will upload .ipcc files there if u need them :

Jailbreaking iphone 3G OS 3.0 beta 5 with CYDIA working !!!! at last !! (iPhone 3G, iPhone first generation , iPod first generation).
Step 1 : After upgrading to the lates iPhone OS 3 beta 5 build 7A312g Download QucikPWN 3 beta 5 (only for iPhone 3G) FROM HERE .
Step 2 : Start quick PWN beta 5
Step 3 : Start jailbreaking and uncheck the UNCHECK THIS option nd NEXT
Step 4 : Browse to the iPhone 3G OS .0 beta5 .ipsw file
Step 5 : Follow what the screen says what to do and iPhone 3G OS 3 beta 5 will be jailbreaked
Step 6 : Activate with itunes (if u have backed up) >>> Restore from backup
Step 7 : Cydia icon in homescreen and it should work this time

if your UDID is added to a developers account or if it is registerd then u can use OS 3.0 betas if not ask someone or search forum for how to use os 3.0 without registering UDID and as for installation :

just hit RESTORE + SHIFT in itunes and browse to the .ipsw file os 3.0 that u downloaded and start restoring that ius upgrading and thats it.

they are in 3 parts as it is a rapidshare download all 3 parts put then in one folder extract the 1st part and it will extract the rest of the parts all in 1 ipsw file that you will restore with
