The vioce problem from the space of memory. But after click the direction icon, the second time start-up, vioce works well.

I have about 7MB of memory left while running iGO, voice is working, but its very choppy:(

the amout of POIs makes it choppy. a 8MB gro-file is unpacked 25MB (without maps), watch the size of your gro-file and you will see it is not much memory left for maps and navigation.

Not sure what I'm doing, but this isn't working for me. iGo crashes on startup. I noticed that the permissions on the original files were mobile 755, so I changed all of them to that, but still didn't help. I'll reboot to see if that works.

Also, I don't have the folders for where the speedcam is supposed to go. Do I just create it myself?

After reboot it still crashes. Could you clarify on the instructions a little more?

This kind of crashing, without any error information, is likely due to an error in the installation or some cydia app crashing it.

If there is an error in the skin, you will see an error message.

Speedcam folder and an empty speedcam database is created on startup, so get your Igo working first before changing anything.

I don't disagree with you on this theory but (last week) I already decoupled the POI portion of the skin to Branding.gro. Users can simply not use my Branding.gro and use the default one (if it indeed causes choppiness).

The modified data.gro (after all the compression I did) is not much bigger than the original one.

Again, I don't have a 3g phone so I can't test out whether these changes work or not, so I'd appreciate if some users can report back.

On the other side of the argument, if you see how the files are actually loaded in Igo, Branding.gro is patching the information in Data.gro so by decoupling the POI icons from Data.gro I may have introduced choppiness into the system (this won't effect users who are not using my branding.gro file at all though)... That's why I need to get some feedback from 3g users, as both ways load pretty much the same on my 3gs.

No, this is not a memory issue. If you speed up simulation or fly over mode, the voice prompt will stop (why? because the fly over is too fast and voice prompts *may* overlap). This is true in both 3g and 3gs, so definitely not memory bound problem.

In speed up fly over mode, you can still invoke the voice prompt (as said already) by clicking the direction icon.

iGO runs def better with 1.5c skin, but time to time I am still having issue with iGO crash during bootup :( If I power off and power on iPhone 3G, iGO will start up fine,

One question,
How can I disable birds eye view in routing? I was able to disable smart(something) in iGO 8 on winCE, but I don't know how to do with iPhone version of iGO(Amigo) it bothers me while I am heading to distination, and all of the sudden I get birds eye view, I know I can just follow the street, but I want to regular view all the time. B)

Yea, I'm actually moving the setting format to Iphone style (as opposed to Old Windows Mobile Style). Very difficult because it is messy.

I've got the Advanced Speedcam Setting pages converted so far.

Yes, but the original Igo skin can only do visible warning....not audible.

If you're using the JetMouse version for the Igo crack (ie the WW license), the you just modified the Lang_XXX.gro for portuguese.

First, convert the gro file to zip (remember set the setting lang.gro *NOT Data/Branding*)
Then open the Dictionary File in the folder with wordpad.
Then just add items you want to translate. (follow the format in the Dictionary File)

Remember to backup a copy of the original lang_xxx.gro so you can restore in case something messes up.

You have to the JetMouse's license crack because the lang files are protected.

the vioce didi not shows up while normal speed simulation or fly over, even click on direction icon, but after respring and keep more then 40m memory, vioce come out, maybe problem from Branding?
