CHANGE MAP OF YOUR TOMTOM IPHONE APP :


Download :
- Download a tomtom iphone app. I tested on TomTom UK and Ireland (1.0).ipa
- Download a map you want to use on Iphone.For my example, I tested UK-Ireland 835.2419.
- Download EasyUseTools

Install :
- Install it (Installous, Itunes, ...), and check it's works
- Unzip the map you downloaded
- Edit the DeviceID.txt from EasyUseTools with the following DeviceID : AAHBQB2XJE (which is universal for all iphones and ipod touches)


Patch application :
- Open SSH, find the folder on the application you just installed
- Enter in the UK-Ireland.app (or your app) and copy the executable to your computer (for me it's the UK-Ireland.app, and the UK-Ireland file)
- Put the executable on the EasyUseTools\ttsystem_Patcher folder
- open a "Cmd" in the EasyUseTools\ttsystem_Patcher directory, and type the following command : patchydg.exe (I type patchydg.exe UK-Ireland). patchydg must say "V8 Apply".

Make a licence :
- Go to the map you downloaded, and put the meta file in the EasyUseTools\insert_meta_from_Map_here directory> (United_Kingdom_and_Republic_of_Ireland-70.meta)
- Execute RunMeforDCT.cmd, choose 1, and 1

                            ### Run Keygen ###

Keygen says OK , copy now the new *.dct into your Mapfolder

 Used DeviceID = AAHBQB2XJE

 Used Option 1                                 

Install patch and map :
- Copy the generate meta.dct file on the map folder you downloaded (United_Kingdom_and_Republic_of_Ireland-70.meta.dct)
- Open SSH, go to the folder of your application, and override executable with the patch version (UK-Ireland patched with patchydg.exe)
- Change Permission of the file to 0755 (if you forget, application is kick during launch)
- Open the map folder of the iphone application, and delete all files.
- Replace files with map you downloaded (the meta.dct must be in the folder)

Sign application :
- open SSH and go to the application folder where the executable is (/private/var/mobile/Applications/.../UK-Ireland.app/)
- type the following command : ldid -S UK-Ireland

Test application :
- Respring
- Launch the application.. it should work (if for some resaon it craches upon first launch then launch it again and it should work fine)

Compatibility :
- Greece 830.2316
- New Zealand 835.2419
- UK and Ireland 835.2419 (tested by myself)

TROOBLESHOUTING :
- If you have a message like "you cannot use this map on your device : United_Kingdom_and_Republic_of_Ireland-70.meta", check the patch of the executable, and the meta.dtc on the map directory
- If application close on open, check if the application is signed (ldid) and if executable's permissions are 0755...
- If you have another problem, try again before post.

I wonder if this will allow protected voices like the Homer voice. I believe you need to patch the App to get those to work on the normal tomtom device.

so if i want eastern europe maps, i have to download western european version of tomtom, get the maps i want, then do the steps you gave us.. will that delete western eu maps too? do i have to get the v7 maps or v8 maps? thanks!

works with Western & Central Europe 835.2419 :), i assume that it will work with any 835.2419 map

Unix (OS X / Linux are case sensitive, so it can't find the file as typed above.

It should be: ldid -S WEurope

try to log in as root
su root (enter)
password: alpine (enter)

Two q! First is why we have to delet everything in app folder? I just want to add another map and not delete primary map and use the second one.

And second, patchydg won't patch my app. Error says that's not recognized as internal or external command, executable or package file. Anyone?

I had to install Link Identity Editor via Cydia to get ldid working

Did you navigate to the correct forlder where whis file is located?
