While we're waiting for custom firmwares, I have a quick question. If I have a 3G, can I restore back to 3.0 or is that impossible now with Apply verifying?

i know the dev-team is still working on it as im not going to harass anyone about it but i wish i could use something on windows for right now. but they are working on it so it will happen soon.

You can revert to 3.0 (done it myself) as the verifying is only made for the 3Gs not the 3G

i restored my 3g back to 3.0 from 3.1

yes, you will be able if firmware its done for dont update the baseband

yes the custom firmware does not update the baseband dont use if your on a 3gs

yeah a custom IPSW that restricts baseband updates and has a 1GB partition for the main system would be lovely for us windows users :)
