Hy guys,
as i wanted to open a deb file through mobile treminal, i tried not to "waste" much time by looking up your hints and as i did iz often enough, i tried it on my own.
so i entered the following:
"su root" then enter
"alpine" then enter
he told me: "incorrect password".
i tried that a couple of times, until i finally looked up your explanations.
i should have only written:
"su" then enter
and then only the password alpine.
but even the second thing won't work anymore.
i tried restarting, etc. nothing is working! what have i done? how can i "repair" my mistake?
Thanks in advance,
gio

no i haven't tried to leave mobileterminal in another way. but i respringed and rebootet. so i guess the program should have been resetet...
thank you for the ifile idea. i will keep that in mind.
but you might understand my fear of having "destroyed" something, as my (our all) password does not seem to work anymore.
so could someone solve that or reassure me somehow?
thanks...

Use WinSCP to SSH in to your iDevice and log on as ROOT and ALPINE as the password initially. After you have logged on, use the terminal console included in the program (the icon is in the top bar) and change your password via the following commands:
done! ;) You have changed your password for the ROOT directory. Make sure to use one that you will remember for a long time...
Quote
passwd
[ENTER NEW PASSWORD HERE]
[REENTER PASSWORD]

If the password is changed/forgotten, I would recommend following the above advice for changing it, and make sure that you don't keep it as alpine, as that is a security risk.
Also, you can try SSHing in to see if the password works like that
