BlackRa1nb0w, Enhancing the Edge and 3G IPhoNe

Posted Image

In Apple does not have to walk happy with the jailbreak and functions, because they are causing far more problems than were anticipated.
Now it's turn to another development that will come soon: Blackra1nbow.
Blackra1nb0w perhaps not as important Blackra1n technique, but many people will thank, and it is going to allow video recording and EDGE VoiceOver on iPhone and iPhone 3G, which until now was only possible with applications third.
Let's see how long it takes now to get Andrea Mazzoni this application, but works well as it will be to have a statue, at least ...

Blackra1nb0w alpha version, we assume testers

Geomazo decided to release a limited number of testers a first part of his work, specifically the one dedicated to the camera. In this period he achieved much and therefore needs an increasing number of testers. To obtain this guide you must leave a comment below and specify any experience in iPhone.
Later we will send you an email with a password-protected PDF file with everything you need to test blackra1nb0w.
In return we ask that you send us feedback to the email or simply info@iphonehacks.it on Twitter.

Tell us what u think and your opion is on this Niffty Find and yes we all know supposally its a hardware deal..

Don't understand you. It's saying they have figured out a way of getting native video to work and voice control, it's in alpha testing stage and they want testers for it. Whether it's true or not I don't know I'm just explaining what it says on Realzg's post.

I'll believe it when I'll see it!!!!

I'm not quite certain how they could have pulled the video recording but Voice Control is a definate NO GO from my point of view.

The Nuance Voice Control engine is apparently part of a ROM (in order to perform faster) not the firmware/OS.

So....

In order to get VoiceControl on 3G you would need MAJOR programming skills cause you would :

-either dump the ROM to get the engine and then re-associate the OS links to Voice Control to that code

-either get an established working recognition engine and still have the OS links to Voice Control re-associated to that code.

-either develop your own recognition engine and again still have the OS Voice Control links re-associated to your engine

THEORICALLY SPEAKING : It could happen.
FACTUALLY SPEAKING : I'll wait for the next iPhone iteration to get all 3Gs (voice recogniton and all) and more because my 3G won't have Apple/Nuance Voice Recognition integrated

Well he havent done it yet.. If you follow his tweets you will see that he still cannot record video, so he did nothing new from the guys on modmyi or on here.

I have a feeling that he has nothing to give, as he has been saying that he will reveal some more news, but everydays he says tomorrow :D

lets hope anyone does it anyways

It's a big standard for Apple for new features to NOT be enabled on previous hardware, even though it's possible. Just look at gestures on trackpads. This is clearly possible, and people have hacked it to work, but not offered by Apple. Same as not having street view on the ipod touch....

(another perfect example is allowing people to get their purchased iTunes songs without DRM for $.30 more, but on in file sizes twice the size as what they had before, so UN-DRM/NOT AND iPOD=less music can be stored on it.)

I'm a serious iPhone/Mac guy who would love to see this app be real. What's seriously wrong here is that Apple has made the 3GS into a device that 3G owners would want to upgrade to (for these new features), and then doesn't give us an upgrade path! If you can't supply the way for us to pay to get the features, then unlock and give them to us!

My 2 cents...

Definitely.. I would have a 3GS by now if i could get it at $300... That's why AT&T is a bad partner... no compromise for ANYTHING..

As geomazo stated this is alpha of foolproof application for enabling 3GS features on previous iphones - noone said that evrything works perfect (or even works), this is why it is alpha version

as far as I know, they have none of those features working at all.

these are just a bunch of kids out to get some credits that they don't deserve.
