That seems awfully long. I just did a restore and set my iphone up as a new phone (pain in the ass to get everything back to how it was) but when I did get it back to normal I removed the language packs and it easily shaved 30+secs off boot up time.

Well if your finding it through SSH then just delete them there.

Dude you clearly dont know the meaning of the term COPYRIGHT !!!!

Original Thread and Original Research:
http://xsellize.com/...up-Experiment-1

I'm really curious how you can copyright deleting daemons in a folder? I mean lets be honest thats all this is. Plus even doing this is breaking Apple's Terms of Service so your technically breaking their copyright to instate yours. This thread is doing nothing wrong and only helping the rest of the community progress. Thats what this community is all about right progression and helping each other out not screaming copyright because you figured out if you delete daemons the iPhone runs faster, this is also common knowledge as Linux works in the same manner.

I got distracted and rebooted before setting the folder to 775, and now it's stuck at the boot logo. Is there any remedy besides restoring?
The computer now doesn't even recognize it and so SSHing is no good as well as DiskAid and such. :(

TIA

You need to restore. That's why doing this stuff is dangerous.

This list applies for 3.1.2 too?
I have deleted ONLY the safe list (checked twice to see if I just deleted the right ones) and I got NO SERVICE.

Yup, applies for 3.1.2.... I'm on 3.1.2, and I'm doing fine. This goes for both the iPhone/iPod Touch.
