its not normally i good idea to do anything but hdd / ram upgrades on a laptop
upgrading your cpu could change power draw
and laptop psu's are generally designed for exactly the right amount of power
changing your cpu could cook your psu which would be

dont upgrade cpu got it
just wondering has somone come up with a usb cpu that u just plug in and it starts taking the load off the other one

haha as far as i know the only thing like that is an external graphics card hookup (of course not through usb though)
but its rather expensive >.<
i dont believe it would be possible to do anything like that cpu wise though

is it for youre laptop or pc?
if its for youre laptop, look for the same modell but with different cpu, mabay ask costumer service.
if its for youre pc, you have to look what brand mainbord and witch type you got there you got.
look on the factory site like for example www.asus.com and search for your mainbord. then you can download a list with cpus that is compatable with youre mainboard.

You can upgrade your computer processor with latest intel core i7 processor extreme edition. It is give very fast and very better performance.

lol u recommend the most expensive options that are COMPLETELY unneccesary especially when u can get a i7 920/930 that can oc just as well as the extreme edition, but instead u can save like 700-800 bucks. So yeah, Op, if u want high end go with an i7 920/930, for midrange i would just get a phenom ii x4 black edition.
