- One issue per thread. This keeps it focused and on topic. You wouldn't people getting sidetracked and answering a point you're not totally bothered about and neglecting the major issue at hand.
- Keep descriptions simple yet precise. People get bored and turned off by long winded explanations that usually just confuse people.
- What you've tried and your skill level. This helps people know what to suggest, and how much detail will suffice.
- What tools you have at your disposal e.g. operating system. Instructions people give may depends on what you're using.
