just wondering but since these files are mp3's shouldnt the iphone be capable of playing them like in ifile? I navigate to the tmp folder and try to play the tmp.mp3 but get no sound. samething in the grooveshark offline folder. I only ask bc it would be great if i could just copy these into pwntunes MyMusic folder and have them imported to my ipod app. Anyone have input on this?

edit: nevermind i guess i didnt let the song load long enough while in offline mode. Ifile is now playing the song properly. Thanks good guide!

Did you actually even read what I wrote?

What I said was not what you said.

You copy the temp.mp3, whilst playing a song saved in offline mode - which unencrypts a single file at a time.

the_liv80 requested a way to copy multple (unencrypted) files at once.

I showed him a way to do that, by NOT making any of the songs offline (the opposite of what you do).
That way, ALL of the mp3's in your queue (that have played through once) remain unencrypted, and therefore can be copied ALL AT ONCE.

I also mentioned that the metadata can be used to auto batch-rename these files via an MP3 tagger.

So this info is new and differs from yours, and is not useless.

Well if you read it, then maybe you did'nt understand what I said, because you guessed wrong...

You can have as many songs as you want remain unencrypted in the tmp folder, simply by NOT making them offline.
Then you can transfer them all at once to your PC.

As I stated in my post I regularly do this with about 15 files each time.

I posted this because someone requested a way to transfer MULTIPLE files, rather than a SINGLE file (your method).
This method allows that. Both he and I (if he read my post :)), use this way - So it's not useless.

If you want listen to single song, then transfer it, then listen to another, transfer that, and so on....
Please be my guest and knock yourself out!
I'm just going to continue to listen to a bunch of songs and transfer them all once, and save myself a lot of time.

Have humility to accomodate other folks ideas and verility to respect them. The other poster's post is clearly different from yours. BTW, delete your post if u like... as if u never gained anything from others on this great forum.

think i was a bit to eager to post.

I edited the file etc and added it one number up from what i already was

Now when doing searches nothing appears

so tried a different number further up still same

All keeps asking me is the program says Do you have an account - you now have 2 weeks trial etc

this pops up all time in the app when i switch between tabs at the bottom

I removed the app using cydia and reinstalled and now its still the exact same

When it worked though it worked really well :)

removing and re-installing wont do anything u have to edit the mobile id so keep on adding numbers but adding 1 number wont do anything like add 5 more zeros or something coz many people used it so for sure they took the number but it works perfect and i know it

I found out you can get the same songs from the website on the iMac

does anyone know if these are also stored in a temp dir and what the location of this folder is

I think there must be a temp location same as on iPhone

any help would be appreciated - thanks

Fair point - but why are the sane mp3s not coded when they saved to the temp folder on the iPhone

for the record I paid for a yrs subscription for this app which only cost £27 for the year
cheap considering what u get with it
