Hi I am trying to use tinyumbrella on my Laptop (Vista) and everytime I start it, it tells me that it is "NOT running as administrator - Cannot listen on port 80! TSS Server will not work!"

I have right clicked on the file and selected "run as Admin" and also gone into my "Kaspersky Internet security" software and made the program trusted.

I have managed to save my SHH Blobs from Cydia and Apple. But as it is I won't be able to use them with this program.

Any ideas what I can try next??????

I have pasted the section of the log below.

The Firmware Umbrella - v4.00.80 by semaphore
Connect a device to continue...
NOT running as administrator - Cannot listen on port 80! TSS Server will not work!

you are using any software that is being used port 80, software like team viewer... here is solution

1. go to task manager

2. go to PROCESSES tab

3. then go to the top bar in VIEW

4. select the option SELECT COLUMNS and check the PID (its first in list as process identifier) and press ok

5. now you will see an extra column in PROCESSES as PID, see 80 there and whatever that program is END PROCESS it

then try it will work like a charm

Well I have at last worked out what the problem was.

Tiny Umbrella has to write to the hosts file. Located at c:\windows\system32\etc\

This file was set to read only. So as soon as I removed the "read only" option I was able to use the TSS Server option.
