New day, new … well soon to be new app in Cydia: SpringFlash. Since the jailbreak is due very soon, BigBoss developed SpringFlash, the first iPhone 4 only Cydia app. SpringFlash is a springboard activator based LED flashlight for your iPhone 4. In short, you can have a touch of a button for a bright LED flashlight without hassling with unlocking your iPhone, closing your app, or even turning on your screen.

To use this you will have to: jailbreak ( when the jailbreak will be released ) , install the app, go to settings app, activator pane, pick the activation method of your choice, and select the Flashlight.

Like all apps BigBoss writes, you will find SpringFlash for free in Cydia.

Lol at first I thought the jailbreak was finally released with the introduction of this app. I'm so desperate for a jailbreak it's pathetic =P but I look forward to using this. My only question is besides battery life is it alright to use the led excessively?

you can use led as long as you want, leds have longevity of like 100000 hours. It is probably low on power consumption too.

I have been waiting so long that i forgot i even had an iphone 4. My 3GS kicks ass though. I cant wait to sell it once my iphone 4 gets up and running, then i will have an extra couple hundred bucks.

This is BS, I have been working on this myself. I have been in contact with @rpetrich the author of activator! WTF

It's called Springflash, Flashlight is another app but can't activate from lockscreen like Springflash :)
