can you advise me which file to modify and which one to modify? Becaue the original you post for i4 is way too much... and the (short) version for me I can't even feel it. I need to make it "mine" to where I like it. Thanks in advance

In the SystemSoundVibrationPatterns.plist file, look for
<key>KeyPressed</key> <dict> <key>Intensity</key> <real>1</real> <key>OffDuration</key> <real>0</real> <key>OnDuration</key> <real>9e-17</real> <key>TotalDuration</key> <real>0.041000000000000002</real> </dict>
and change the TotalDuration number. The original has 0.04, the short version has 0.02, so 0.03 might be right for you, but play with it. To change for the dialer, go down to
<key>TouchTone</key>
and change the same number, TotalDuration. The other file doesn't need to be changed

Thanks so much! I am now modifying... I think about 4-5 more reboots I might have it just right

I installed this on my iPhone 4 and it works great but it only works when I do a search in Cydia and on the phone's keypad. All other uses of the keyboard have no feedback. Seems odd to me, does anyone have a suggestion? I installed the standard Haptic Feedback file (I also tried the no clicks version with the same outcome) and rebooted. Is there a setting I'm missing?
i had the same problem, go to settings, sounds, and turn on keyboard clicks and it'll work..

Did you use the original version? try replacing them again, maybe you downloaded the silent one by mistake or something. it's weird that it's only vibrating. the backup files are in the original post if you want to use those instead

just curious. who has used the 3.x vibration and never had their vibration give out on them? I'd use this but I wouldn't want my vibration to give out before the iPhone 5 come out
I gotta resell my iphone 4 too.

What do you mean 'give out'? Like the motor that causes the vibrations breaking or wearing down? I've never heard of that happening, but if you're asking if the vibrations were to break due to a software problem, then it's fixable, and would be fixed restoring

yea i know software issues can be fixed but just curious about how this is using the vibration more than its supposed to so prolonged use might wear it down.
i used to have it on 3.x but got worried that vibration strength may die down because of the motor being overused or something. just paranoia i guess.

Ah ok, well I had an iPhone 3G for two years, and used some form of haptic feedback most of the time, and I never noticed a change in the strength, even compared to my iPhone 4

I think you have to fix permissions when you replace files. Without fixing I was getting a lot of crashes. Not 100% sure yet as I'm still testing it out.

I downloaded haptic pro, and it worked fine with ios 3.1.3. though once updating to ios4.0 i cant get the keyboard feedback to work no matter what i try. I found this post and loaded the 'original' files onto my phone as per the instructions using iphonebrowser version 1.9.3. though it made no difference. Feedback works when pressing on buttons only, no keyboard etc.
Any ideas?
Thanks in advance.

Try turning off anything related to keyboard feedback in Haptic Pro, then replace the files again

Do you have anything installed that would interfere? I don't quite understand what you mean for the other file
