Developers begin receiving iOS 4.1 golden master

Developers have reportedly begun receiving the iOS 4.1 golden master, a final pre-release version before the software is released to customers. The update will introduce Apple's new Game Center gaming service and HDR photography capabilities. Users will also be able to take advantage of HD video uploads via Wi-Fi, while a number of bug fixes address sensor problems and performance issues with the iPhone 3G.

The official iOS 4.1 public release is expected to be ready by the end of next week. The company is already working on v4.2, which will bring the iPad up to speed with the iPhone and iPod touch.

Looking in the file, it looks like baseband will be updated to 2.10 for iPhone 4.

I hope there is an unlock soon so I can upgrade. I have a 3g and 4.0.x sucks on a 3g

If you know how to use search, you would've found it a LONG time ago. Also, Google would've given you a ton of links to blogs that have the 4.1 GM.

Srry but that's kind of a stupid question. Yes obviously it will need to be jailbroken first, but jailbroken 4.1 is just as useless to me (and everyone else who uses an unofficial carrier) as it is now.

Will there be mods on cydia like the pdf patch and the game center (xsellize) deb so we dont have to upgrade? i hate upgrading...

So this really isnt an update at all? Just a bunch of bug fixes and 'revolutionary' game center?

How about adding some fucking proper lockscreen/status bar notifications?
Tired of jailbreaking just to get lockinfo everytime I update or get a new phone.
