- Before upgrading to iTunes 10 - backup ALL you apps from iTunes Library and keep it in some fixed location on Drive C:\ D:\ etc.

- Remove ALL apps from the iTunes Library. After upgrading, re-add them and DO NOT delete the folder where you had backed them up.

The new iTunes 10 doesn't recognise cracked apps, hence doesnt save them into its iTunes Library - rather it links the apps to the folder from where it was added to iTunes. Only FREE/Purchased apps stay in the Library (like on iTunes 9.2.x)

Hope this saves allot of people from the trouble of re-downloading ALL their apps.

ALTERNATIVE SOLUTION: iTunes > Preferences > Advanced > [Check] Copy files to iTunes Media folder when adding to library.

too funny
Intelligence is non-local and not bound to the brain. Sometimes nature offers insight into a particular subject by presenting a baffling enigma and contradictory example. Intelligence's contradictory enigma is the idiot savant.Posted Image

This might be a little of topic but I really need help. Yesterday, before I even touched iTunes 10, I tried to update some apps on my iPhone 4 IOS 4.0.1 and all I get is "Cannot connect to iTunes Store"

I tried the iTunes restriction check/uncheck.
I tried restoring from backup.
I tried signing out and back in.
I tried three different wifi networks and 3G.
I tried a lot of things.

My iPhone will backup mail, note, etc, but when it gets to syncing apps, its stops syncing. This was on iTunes 9.X and now iTunes 10.

I can sync music by dragging it over to the iPhone but not apps. It just stop. And on my iPhone, I can open the AppStore but I can't install apps and update.

Help me please. I have helpd a lot of people on here. Can I get some help. Please.....................

PS: I have not done anything different to it like install anything from Cydia to make it stop working. It was working one minute and stop working the next.

I even tried in Safe Mode.

This post is specifically mean't for folks who have un-checked the "Add Music files to iTunes Media" in the previous iTunes 9.x.x, which actually creates a dual copy of the mp3's - one lying on your partition and the same files been copied to your C:\ because of iTunes. This option existed in the previous version of iTunes - which has now been generalized for Apps and Music.

Stop saying it's untrue, I've heard people saying that updating to iTunes messed up their cracked apps.
It's not because it doesn't concern everyone that is it untrue...

It is "untrue". iTunes 10 does not delete your cracked apps.

Not a problem here. Upgraded from 9.2 to 10 and synced without a hiccup. All apps remained on phone and in iTunes library.
