You might want to check out this thread http://xsellize.com/...626#entry494626 but you'll need a sip client such as softphone, groundwire etc and sip service such as voipdiscount.com or many others..

There's no such app as someone has to pay the phone companies when you make calls, right? Your best bet is to use Skype as cell phones in European countries are expensive to call, I suppose you pay about 20ยข+/minute

Best international calling application is Skype. It is very fast than the other calling applications. As it is light weighted it runs very fast. It is very enjoyable and a good experience to talk with Skype application. Video Calling is also available. It is almost cheap than the others applications. So everyone can afford it.

If you wish to get something to make international calls to another iphone, I suggest getting something called "Viber" which is free on appstore, all that is needed is: Some else who has Viber(on their iphone of course) and you and they both have each others number, once you have it, you can simply open up the application, click their number and walla ring ring free call to your bros in another country(do note: you need internet to use it, but you just need their number in your contacts to use it)

Use TextFree! The only thing that you need, is to earn minutes by downloading apps (which you can delete after getting your minutes) , or buy them, they are pretty cheap if you ask me, there's 500 for $10!!!
I am not sure if you believe me so I'm gonna tell you this, I was in China, and called my mom's cell phone with it, and she was in the USA.
