There are three methods, the direct method (SSH copy), the ipa/iTunes method and the IPAPREP. For both methods you must already have jailbroken your iphone and installed openssh.

Direct method:
1) Download the cracked game/app and extract the ApplicationName.app folder to your desktop.
2) Copy ApplicationName.app into /Applications via SSH or SFTP and set it's permissions to 755 (chmod 755 ApplicationName.app )
3) Create a folder called “Documents” in /var/mobile/ and set permissions to 777. (*only needs to be done once)
4) Reboot your iPhone

iTunes method:
This requires replacing a framework file on your iPhone first, but then makes the installation of apps very easy (double click on the mac/pc):
How to install Cracked IPA's:
1) Using SSH, navigate to: /System/Library/PrivateFrameworks/MobileInstallation.framework/"
2) Backup the file "MobileInstallation"
3) Download this patched file -

Note: the 2.2 files also works on 2.2.1
4) Copy the patched file over to "/System/Library/PrivateFrameworks/MobileInstallation.framework/" set permissions to 755
5) Reboot your iPhone
To install the cracked .ipa apps, simply double click them and sync them with your iPhone!

MiPatch (2.x, Formerly IPAPREP) / Installd (3.0)
You can always download the MiPatch/Installd from our repo :)
it installs the mobileinstallation for you, and backs it up
then just restart the iphone, and sync your cracked apps with itunes!

Problems:
1. If you have problems with apps crashing then usually the solution is to first install any legit app(can be free), then install the cracked ones
2. If the app cannot be added to itunes, redownload the app and try again
3. If you still have problems redo the steps again CAREFULLY

Pinball RC wont load it opens then shuts down straight away, ive tried 755 775 and 777 and ive done a Documents folder and made it 777

Help. I did the second method and rebooted the phone. Now its hung at apple logo. Not starting.

EDIT - Solved. Instead of pasting inside MobileInstallation.framework folder. I pasted it outside.

The 2nd tutorial needs to be corrected on this issue. Its inside the folder and not .framework folder itself.

Make sure you CHMOD the folder (as well as all files/folders) inside of it to 755. If you're using WinSCP, you can do this by checking the box in the bottom left of the CHMOD screen. If you're doing it via the command line, just add -R right after the word "chmod".

I am having this same exact problem :( I hope there will be a fix soon.

Same exact deal here: tried with Bejeweled but the app doesn't show up uon my iPod Touch no matter what :(.

Oh, well.....

Edit: go figure....after rebooting a couple of times suddenly the app showed up: it just closed the first time I run it but after that it works perfectly. :pada:

ok.. Ive used both methods... and my only question is, which method is better? Are there any pros and cons? Thanks... cause most apps are in my phone via SSH... but the ipa method seems cleaner... any comments?

ITunes .ipa method is, no doubt, the best. It lets you properly syncyour application with your iTunes. You can even delete the app from your springboard itself like you do for other appstore apps.
