For 3GS owners follow these steps:


1. Go to “Cydia”.
2. Click on “Manage” tab on the bottom.
3. Now click on “Sources” as seen in the screenshot below:
4. Click on “Edit” and then on “Add”. You will be prompted to enter a url source as seen in the screenshot below. Type “http://cydia.hackulo.us” and click on “Add Source”.
Cydia will now automatically update your sources by following a series of automated steps.
5. After installation is completed. Search for “AppSync” in Cydia and install this application. This app will automatically patch your mobileinstallation file.



You should be now able to install all of your jailbroken apps on iPhone OS 3.0.

There are three methods, the direct method (SSH copy), the ipa/iTunes method and the IPAPREP. For both methods you must already have jailbroken your iphone and installed openssh.

Direct method:
1) Download the cracked game/app and extract the ApplicationName.app folder to your desktop.
2) Copy ApplicationName.app into /Applications via SSH or SFTP and set it's permissions to 755 (chmod 755 ApplicationName.app )
3) Create a folder called “Documents” in /var/mobile/ and set permissions to 777. (*only needs to be done once)
4) Reboot your iPhone

iTunes method:
This requires replacing a framework file on your iPhone first, but then makes the installation of apps very easy (double click on the mac/pc):
How to install Cracked IPA's:
1) Using SSH, navigate to: /System/Library/PrivateFrameworks/MobileInstallation.framework/"
2) Backup the file "MobileInstallation"
3) Download this patched file -

4) Copy the patched file over to "/System/Library/PrivateFrameworks/MobileInstallation.framework/" set permissions to 755
5) Reboot your iPhone
To install the cracked .ipa apps, simply double click them and sync them with your iPhone!

MiPatch (2.x, Formerly IPAPREP) / Installd (3.0)
You can always download the MiPatch/Installd from our repo :)
it installs the mobileinstallation for you, and backs it up
then just sync your cracked apps with itunes!

Problems:
1. If you have problems with apps crashing then usually the solution is to first install any legit app(can be free), then install the cracked ones
2. If the app cannot be added to itunes, redownload the app and try again
3. If you still have problems redo the steps again CAREFULLY

i was wondering why do this method when you can just download craked apps from www.appulo.us and drag into itunes to sync only if you have the mipatch for the desired firmware which you can get from cydia ??

.deb files are not appstore apps, they are cydia apps

Not a big deal, but when I install Installous on my phone, and plug into my computer, The selected apps I choose to put on my phone are all unchecked.. is it because of installous or no?

i have problem using method 2, i had copied the mobile installation patch to the folder however after restart, phone hangs in apple logo

my questions,
1) how to restart my iphone back to normal
2) how to change to 775? i just cant find where to change it

Others such as Sims, NFS, Bomberman, etc won't install using any of the above method. I've yet to try AppSync... is that the only solution?


Another note is... when I try to download using XIPA, the download would stop and the app would terminate. Any ideas?
