I can confirm the "transfer purchases from 'yourname's iPhone'" works. after that it syncs up fine :) But I guess you'll have to do that every time you installed something via installous.

I'm a little confused about dirty/clean installs too. It never explicitly mentions inside of Installous as to which type of installation it's performing when it shows the app being decompressed and installed.
Inside other apps with a similar selector "pill," the more vibrantly colored item is the selected one. So I think that the more "saturated" looking side is the selected type of installation.

If I'm right:
Selecting "clean" results in the message "Installed (name).app to..."
Selecting "dirty" results in the message "Installed (name).ipa to..."
"Clean" apps aren't deleted from the device during a sync, but they can be transferred via the "transfer purchases" option.
"Dirty" apps are deleted from the device during a sync, and can also be transferred via the "transfer purchases" option.
If I'm wrong:
Then flip all of the things I said above. o_O

well if u turn sync off then the games etc dont disapear.
If u want them gone then just turn sync on.
If u lose them by accident then just reinstall them from the download page of Installous.
