This is a bit complicated, so someone else can probably figure out how to clean up the steps.

You'll need to download a new MCallShow before you start.

1. Install MCallShow v1.3 from Cydia
2. Install ldid from Cydia
3. Go to /Applications/MCallShow.app
4. Remove/Rename MCallShow
5. Copy the new MCallShow into its location
6. Set the new file's permissions to 777
7. Run ldid -SMCallShow.xcent MCallShow
8. Run the program on your phone
9. Enter any 8 digit number for the serial


Update: Pre-Signed app - LDID not needed

You can (most likely) skip the ldid steps if you replace /Applications/MCallShow.app/MCallShow with this file. I have not confirmed this yet.

I got this to work by doing ldid -S /Applications/MCallShow.app/MCallShow for #7 but w00 it does work.

thanks. it works! but i had some 8 days left off the trial. so will wait for a week and see. hope its not some other "cracks" which expired after the trial.

I didn't patch the date checker.

I did, however, just check the date issue, and it will register even if expired. If you simply want to extend the 15-day trial, delete /private/var/mobile/Library/MCallShow and it will act like you just installed it.

The ldid affects the app (/Applications/MCallShow.app/MCallShow). All you have to do is apply the ldid script to the /Applications/MCallShow.app/MCallShow file and then extract the /Applications/MCallShow.app/MCallShow file and upload it here. Now noone else needs to apply the ldid or even download the ldid. ldid is just used for signing the app.

For me, the previous option just doesn't work. I do not use Macs to do my development and the entire codesign path requires not only a Mac but console access because codesign is, at some level, a graphical utility (the way it uses Keychain to get the signatures may prompt, with dialogs, for passwords). To get around this, I wrote a tool called ldid that, among other things, can generate the SHA1 hashes that are checked by Apple's iPhoneOS kernel. This tool is easily installed on the iPhone using Cydia or APT.

I knew what it was for, I just thought it modified some system property, not the file itself.

I noticed that if you did the '-S' option, it increased the filesize a little bit, whereas the '-s' (lowercase) would preserve the filesize. I've updated the first post with a link to the signed MCallShow.
